Blogging the library....

WWU's library is starting up a summer program called "Learning2.0" which is "...an online learning program that encourages staff to learn more about emerging technologies on the web that are changing the way people, society and libraries access information and communicate with each other..."

The intro to this summer of fun is learning about blogs. Luckily I have this part down pat, but there are some things coming up as part of the 26 Summer Fun Things I am looking forward to learning more about. Fer instance - RSS feeds & newsreaders and Tagging, Technocrati, Folksonomies (what the heck is Del.icio.us anyway??).

Hopefully I'll be able to add some nice features to the blog over the summer as I learn more.....

This is a pretty extraordinary blog--I've enjoyed looking through it. The stuff on Stella and Bob reminded me of a book, "My Dog Tulip." It's about an older single gentleman in England (true story) who gets a German Shepherd and decides that his main goal in life is to get his dog to have a litter. The process is alternately funny and painful.

I'll have to find that story. It sounds like a great read!

It's been a lot of fun doing this blog. Not always as informative as we planned, but sometimes you just have to post pictures of your critters...
